Léopold Dewolf studied stop-motion animation in London (BA, University of Westminster) and directing in Los Angeles (MFA, USC School of Cinematic Arts). He has showcased his work at international film festivals. His curiosity for other cultures took him to Peru, where he made a film under the tutelage of Werner Herzog in the Amazonian jungle.
Emma Qian Xu earned a master’s degree in International Business Negotiation in Paris and attended night classes at the Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français. She co-wrote The Curtain, with Léopold Dewolf, a short film which she also produced. Her recent film, Nantong Nights, was shot in her hometown in Mandarin and her native dialect.
