Burlesque Tragedy

A mental hospital in Belgrade the capital city of former Yugoslavia. The hospital holds a doctor who is the director of the hospital, a nurse who is the lover of the doctor and twenty patients. Because of the sordid circumstances the doctor is not able to cure his patients and decides to close down the hospital and bring them back to their families. After locking the door of the hospital all together they go to Belgrade. Bringing joy and chaos to the streets they attract the attention of the omnipresent police. The old patient who is a retired member of the former secret agency symbolizes the socialist past of Yugoslavia and his grandson symbolizes the hope of the country which has a suspicious future. A tragedy burlesque which criticizes the past of Yugoslavia in a bitter way while wieving the present.
