Moscow, Belgium

Moscow, Belgium is a romantic comedy about a woman whose soul is full of dents and bruises. In the best tradition of British working class cinema, Moscow, Belgium shows real people that feature their own kind of humour in dealing with the smaller and bigger obstacles on their bumpy road to happiness - or the Flemish equaivalnt of it. Matty (41), mother of three, bumps her car into a truck on the parking lot of a supermarket. Jhonny (29) climbs down from the cabin. He is infruiated by the dent in his front bumper and yells at Matty. Matty replies with sharp words. Their discussion turns into a row, and the police have to intervene. A few days later, Jhonny rings the doorbell. He apologizes and fixes the dent in the trunk of Matty's car. Matty's children are stunned when witnessing the first sparkles between Matty and the so much younger Jhonny. While Jhonny shows his romantic side, Matty's almost ex-husband and artist Werner gets back into the play...
