Shirley Clarke got his BA at Victoria College, University of Toronto. In 1960s, he returned to US and started his cinema career. Jewison directed such Hollywood classics like The Russians Are Coming (1966), Fiddler On The Roof (1971), Moonstruck (1987). He was nominated for Oscar ve times and he received Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award in 79th Academy Awards Ceremony.
