Derviş Zaim

He graduated from the Management Department of the Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 1988. Ha started to work on film by shooting the experimental video Hang the Camera in 1991. The next year he made the TV documentary Rock Around the Mosque. He worked as TV producer and director from 1992 to 1995. He wrote the screenplay of his first feature Somersault in a Coffin himself. Somersault in a Coffin was awarded with 4 Golden Oranges for Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Actor and Best Editing in the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival in 1996.
