Ali Ozel began his career in film and advertising as a camera assistant in 1997. He worked in many television series and films as director of photography. In 2008, he worked as a cinematographer on The Bogeyman / Mommo. His debut film Steppe won eleven awards, including the Best Film Award, at Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.
